GRAS ASSOCIATES RECEIVES FDA “NO QUESTIONS” GRAS NOTICE LETTER FOR ORATICX’S PROBIOTIC INGREDIENT

Nutrasource's subsidiary, GRAS Associates, has partnered with South Korean firm OraTicx Inc., formerly known as OraPharm, to receive a "no questions" letter from the FDA for the Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) notification for the use of Weissella cibaria CMU (oraCMU) probiotic strain in various food products.


The recognition, based on rigorous scientific procedures and supported by several clinical trials, marks the first GRAS notified oral probiotic from Korea, paving the way for OraTicx's global expansion.


OraTicx plans to advance another GRAS program for a different Weissella cibaria strain, oraCMS1, and conduct further efficacy studies, solidifying its position in the oral probiotics sector both domestically and internationally.
